Conversion Rate
Measures the percentage of users who complete a desired action
Why it matters
It is the metric business stakeholders already speak, which makes it UX’s best translation layer: a friction fix expressed as a conversion lift needs no further argument. Its danger is the same fluency — not everything that matters converts this quarter.
The numbers
- Conversions ÷ visitors × 100 — the whole formula
- Define the action first — a rate without a clear numerator is noise
