Design Critique Session
A planned period of time where UX designers present their work to team members and listen to feedback
Why it matters
Critique is a skill on both sides: the presenter frames the problem and the stage of the work; reviewers critique the design against its goal, not against their taste. Without that frame, critique decays into opinions ranked by seniority.
The numbers
- Frame first — what problem, what stage, what feedback would help
- 30-45 minutes — past that, critique becomes wordsmithing
