F-Shape

A popular shape or pattern which represents the way users read text or view content. Users start from the top left, and then keep on reading right, much like a reading book

Why it matters

It is what reading looks like when people are deciding whether to read: two horizontal sweeps, then a scan down the left edge. Front-load headings and first words — content on the right side of later lines is effectively invisible.
