Human Centered Design

Human-centered design is an approach to problem solving, commonly used in design and management frameworks that develops solutions to problems by involving the human perspective in all steps of the problem-solving process.

Why it matters

Its radical claim is only that the people using the thing should shape the thing — radical because the default is designing for the loudest stakeholder in the room. HCD is a discipline of evidence over assumption, kept honest by testing.
