Minimum Viable Product (MVP)

The simplest version of a product that delivers real value and can be released to learn from users, avoiding overbuilding before validating the idea.

Why it matters

The V is the discipline: viable means someone gets real value today, not a demo of value someday. Teams fail it in both directions — gold-plating what should be a test, or shipping a broken thing and calling the complaints “validation”.
