Onboarding
A few-step process of introducing the user to our product when he first opens an application or a link to a service
Why it matters
The best onboarding is the product teaching itself in use — a guided first success, not a tour of the furniture. Every screen before value is rent charged on curiosity; measure time-to-first-win, then shrink it.
The numbers
- Time to first value — onboarding’s only real metric
- Show, then let go — tours get skipped; doing sticks
